Dear families,
First and foremost, I hope you all are staying safe and healthy. Secondly, thank you so much for taking the time to complete the survey. Your responses will help better guide our lesson planning to ensure all students have equitable access to curriculum. As you know, the district has provided us this week to prep, collaborate and plan for distance learning, which will officially begin April 13th. I know many of you have questions and concerns as to what that will entail. I will provide some information I know is certain as of now.
For our virtual meetings, CVESD has strongly advised against the use of Zoom for security reasons, and they are only supporting the use of video conferencing through the district platform – Microsoft Teams in Office 365. Our first meeting will be on Monday, April 13 at 11AM for about an hour or so to catch up as well as explain and answer any of their questions. Here are the directions to log in. Follow these steps for Monday April 13th, a few minutes before 11:00am. You can also do steps 1-5 ahead of time as a trial run.
If you are unable to join the check-in, no worries at all. This is optional, but would be the easiest way for me to give them the information needed. I have been thinking of the students a lot these days and look forward to seeing and catching up with all of them! Thank you all for your patience and support. This is indeed an unprecedented time and a learning curve for us all. I am sure there are mistakes to be made and challenges to be faced, but I have no doubt we will overcome them together!
